What the label says:

The legendary Hobgobin is a blend of  smooth, rich flavours from chocolate and crystal malts combined with a refreshing bitterness from English Fuggles hops and a dash of citrus aroma from Styrian Goldings … a beer full of mischevious character.  Wychwood brewery blends old traditions and new innovations to produce with real character.

What the Beerdrinker says:

A really deep coffee coloured beer, with a head that doesn’t last.  Its nose is of treacle, rum, cinnamon and apple.  It has not apparent taste at the front of the mouth, but on the back of the tongue it tastes exactly as it smells.  If sipped there is a combination of chocolate and blackberry tastes.  It’s a really thick heavy beer, with a real bitter punch.

A proper winter warmer.
