What the label says:

A legend.  Bottled beers come and go, but only a few survive six generations, such as Robinsons’  legendary Unicorn Extra Premium Ale …   A beer for people who know how to appreciate the best of Britain’s distinctive beers.  Brewed specifically for bottle, Robinsons’ Unicorn is light and refreshing with a full bodied flavour of rich hops and malt, making it ideal to accompany a meal, for a quiet evening, or to celebrate a special occasion.  Look for the legend.  Look for the Unicorn.

What the Beerdrinker says:

The beer is a very dark amber with a good foamy head.  It emits a lot of Carbon Dioxide, which is probably the reason for the strong head, but once the initial burst of gas passes, the beer has a nose of Christmas Cake, treacle, honey and mixed spices.  There is no noticeable initial taste, but has a strange after taste akin to a mature cheddar cheese.  The beer is creamy and smooth .  Despite being classed as a Gold beer, this beer is not at all light and tastes much darker.

A really enigmatic beer.
