What the label says:

You know who they are.  Loud, opinionated, boring and in your face.  Old Farts are taking over the world, so sit them in the corner and let them get on with it.  And hopefully … keep the old farts from you.

What the Beerdrinker says:

This is sold under the label Cottage Delights, but is so clearly related to its sister beer Rudyard Premium Ruby because it is hard to tell them apart.

It is a very dark beer, until held in the light when it is deep red in colour.  It has a yeasty notes with treacle aromas.  It holds its head well.  It has a sweet taste with touches of burnt toast making it feel more like a stout than a ruby ale.  It has slight tastes of sweet apple and weak coffee flavours.  It’s smooth and creamy with no trace of caramel as suggested by the nose.  This is Rudyard Premium Ruby with a streak of stout running through it.
