What the label says:

Deep brown porter brewed with real coffee beans.  There is an initial roasted malty chocolate aroma with notes of caramel, licorice, raisins and cocoa.  The taste is creamy smooth with notes of choclate, figs, raisins and sweet malt.

What the Beerdrinker says:

A dark beer, approaching black, with a head that dissipates quickly.  There is initially a slight coffee aroma which grows in strength the longer the beer remains in the glass.  The coffee aroma is accompanied by chocolate.  The beer tastes strongly of coffee and figs, reminiscent of Christmas Pudding.  The initial taste at the front of the mouth is of coffee, with bitter chocolate as the beer moves to the back of the tongue, followed by a delayed aftertaste of milk chocolate.

A deliciously complex beer, received from the Beerdrinker’s colleague, Nicky, with much appreciation.  A genuinely good find.
