What the label says:

Founded by Joseph Holt in 1849, the Brewery has remained in the family for five generations.  It has grown to become a leading independent brewer of traditional ales.  Proud to be part of Manchester’s history.

Over 100 years of the collective wisdom and passion of our current brewing staff has been crafted into this light fruity golden ale.  A wise choice.

Has a sweet hoppy nose, similar to a Kentish Ale and in the same fashion its head disperses quickly.  It is exceptionally dry with no trace of the proclaimed fruitiness.  There is a slight hop flavour and if the beer is sipped rather than gulped, it tastes slightly sweet.  If held in the mouth it has a salty taste.

Of the three Beerdrinkers who shared a pint of this, none felt inclined to finish their glass.
