What the label says:
The drinker’s favourite, and the classic pale ale, with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma. Landlord was launched in 1952 and has nationally won more awards than any other beer including CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer of Britain four times.
Taylor’s Taste is achieved by using the finest natural ingredients – our unique Knowle Spring water, the highest grade Golden Promise malted barley, whole leaf hops and our own Taylor’s Taste yeast.
What the Beerdrinker says:
A golden orange coloured beer with a malty and yeasty nose. It has a very dry taste with an even drier after taste. The initial taste in the mouth is strangely salty with mildly citric overtones. The aftertaste lasts a considerable time after swallowing and leaves a warm sensation appropriate for a much stronger beer.
It is no surprise that this beer won the Supreme Champion Beer of Britain four times on the trot. It is a superb beer.
